A Healthier Take on Classic White Cake Mix

At Bon Society, we love reinventing classics with smart, affordable swaps—without sacrificing flavor or texture. Eggs aren’t bad, but let’s face it, they’re hella expensive! That’s why we’re using a fluffy flax-based egg replacement that keeps the cake light, moist, and just as delicious. Plus, we’re sneaking in finely chopped parsnips for natural sweetness and extra moisture. This is cake, leveled up—simple, soft, and secretly nutritious!


🍰 Fluffy Parsnip Cake (Egg-Free & Easy on the Wallet!) 🍰


📝 Ingredients:

🥣 1 box Cake Mix 

💧 3/4 cup water

🛢️ 1/2 cup vegetable oil

🥕 2 cups finely chopped parsnips (squeezed to remove excess moisture)


🥚 Egg Replacement (Flax Egg Swap for 3 Eggs):

🌿 9 tablespoons white bean liquid

🥄 3 tablespoons potato starch or tapioca flour

🥜 3 tablespoons golden flax meal (finely ground flaxseed)


🌀 Whip bean liquid until light & fluffy. Add starch & flax meal.

Let sit for 15 minutes before using.

🔥 Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (for aluminum/glass) or 325°F (for nonstick).🧈 Grease the bottom of a 13”x9” pan (or bottom & sides for other pans).


2️⃣ Mix It Up!

🥣 In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, parsnips, and prepared flax eggs.

⚡ Mix on medium speed (or beat vigorously by hand) for 2 minutes.

🔄 Pour batter into the prepared pan.


3️⃣ Bake & Enjoy!

⏳ Bake for 5 minutes longer than the original recipe to ensure the parsnips cook through.🧪 Cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

🌬️ Let cool 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
